In 2014, the International Association of Centres for Federal Studies (IACFS) inaugurated the Young Scholar Award, an annual award for the best unpublished article or paper on an aspect of federalism. In 2015, this award was renamed in honour of Ronald L. Watts.
The 2019 IACFS Conference will take place on October 17th and 18 th, 2019 in Speyer, Germany. The directors’ meeting will be held on the day before the conference. The theme this year is “Unity and Diversity of Civil Service in Federal and Unitary/Decentralised Countries”.
The winner will participate in the IACFS annual conference in Speyer, Germany from 16 to 18 October 2019 (return ticket and three days' accommodation) and present his/her paper.
